{"id":227918,"date":"2026-03-31T02:28:14","date_gmt":"2026-03-31T02:28:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/227918\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T02:28:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T02:28:14","slug":"dallas-cowboys-targeting-trade-for-all-pro-lb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/227918\/","title":{"rendered":"Dallas Cowboys Targeting Trade for All-Pro LB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"inline-text-0\" class=\"mt-[18px] md:mt-0 mb-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6g\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/cowboys\/onsi\/news\/dallas-cowboys-brian-schottenheimer-reveals-personal-reason-he-doesnt-wear-sunglasses-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dallas Cowboys<\/a> have made no shortage of moves in free agency this offseason to help address the team&#8217;s defensive personnel.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-1\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6j\">However, none of these have involved adding a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/cowboys\/onsi\/news\/dallas-cowboys-open-for-business-address-major-linebacker-need-nfl-free-agency-failure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">new off-ball linebacker to the roster<\/a> in order to surround DeMarvion Overshown with more talent and experience.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-2\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6m\">It&#8217;s no secret that the Cowboys have attempted to make a few notable signings at the linebacker spot, but it has grown more and more likely that the front office will no choice but to address its future at the position during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/cowboys\/onsi\/draft\/dallas-cowboys-tease-splash-move-2026-nfl-draft-owners-meetings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">2026 NFL Draft<\/a> next month.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-3\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6p\">But now, reports are surfacing that Dallas is dipping its toes into the trade market to see what&#8217;s available, and a deal with the Miami Dolphins is one the Cowboys could be eyeing.<\/p>\n<p>Dallas Cowboys Interested in Trade With Miami Dolphins<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/01kn0hdn3qf09t3017jy.jpg\" alt=\"Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks\" title=\"Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks\" width=\"3455\" height=\"3455\" class=\"undefined w-full w-full blur-[5px]\" q:id=\"72\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks runs on the field before a game against the Buffalo Bills at Hard Rock Stadium.  | Jeff Romance-Imagn Images<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-6\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"76\">Per reports from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/sports\/article315240938.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald, <\/a>the Cowboys are among the teams interesting in trading for Dolphins All-Pro linebacker Jordyn Brooks. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-7\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"79\">However, the Cowboys are just one of many interested teams, as Kelly reports no serious deal has peaked Miami&#8217;s interest quite yet.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-8\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"7c\">This past season, Brooks led the league in total tackles (183) and solo tackles (99) while earning his first-career All-Pro nod. He did so while starting all 17 games and adding 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and three pass breakups.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-9\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"7f\">Brooks, 28, is a Houston, Texas native and would be able to have a homecoming of sorts if the Cowboys end up striking a deal. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-10\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"7i\">He was originally the No. 27 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, where he would spend the next four seasons.
