Eric Clapton celebrated his 81st birthday today, March 20, with some big news.<\/p>\n

His Crossroads Guitar Festival will return to Austin, Texas, for two nights in 2026: Sept. 26-27 at the Moody Center.<\/p>\n

It will be the seventh iteration of the legendary guitarist\u2019s famed festival, marking the 28th anniversary of the 1998 founding of the Crossroads Centre Antigua.<\/p>\n

Per usual, Clapton will perform both nights of the event, with a solid assortment of fellow guitar icons set to take the stage. Here\u2019s the talent list accompanying the event announcement, arranged alphabetically:<\/p>\n

Guitar Center will once again be the exclusive retail partner of the event, and will have a strong on-site presence \u2014 as detailed in a news release:<\/p>\n

Guitar Center will bring its presence to life through The Guitar Center Experience, an immersive destination at the venue where fans can explore gear, connect with leading guitar brands including Fender, Gibson, Martin, PRS and Ernie Ball, and engage in hands-on interactive moments throughout the weekend. Guitar Center will offer on-site retail, giving attendees access to an exclusive curated collection tied to the festival. The experience will also feature a rare showcase of iconic guitars from Guitar Center\u2019s Legends Collection, including Eric Clapton\u2019s 1956 Fender Stratocaster, \u201cBlackie\u201d, and the 1964 Gibson ES-335 he played in Cream, as well as Stevie Ray Vaughan\u2019s legendary 1965 Fender Stratocaster, \u201cLenny\u201d, offering fans a closer look at instruments that have shaped history, alongside a celebration of guitar culture and its icons.<\/p>\n
