According to the latest studies from SmartAsset<\/a>, large cities like San Francisco saw MASSIVE increases to rent payments. The Texas cities of San Antonio (-1.72%) and Katy (-1.43%) also made the list<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n How Did Lubbock’s Average Rent Change?<\/p>\n Unfortunately, Lubbock was not unaffected by the swath of rent increases. In fact, between 2025 and 2026, the average rent in the Hub City went up from $1,374 a month to $1,388.
