Billy Bob Thornton is heading to Fort Worth this summer for something other than \u201cLandman.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

The 70-year-old actor and musician will stop by Billy Bob\u2019s Texas on July 17 with his band The Boxmasters<\/a>. The show is part of the band\u2019s \u201c2026 Morro Rock Tour,\u201d which begins in late June and runs through early August.<\/p>\n

Thornton formed the group in 2006, and the band has churned out 19 albums since. Their next album, \u201cIn The Bay,\u201d releases June 12.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the Fort Worth show are on sale now<\/a> and vary in price depending on seating. In addition to Cowtown, other Texas tour stops include Tomball, Whitehouse, Austin and New Braunfels.<\/p>\n

Billy Bob Thornton\u2019s past Fort Worth concerts<\/p>\n

ZZ Top opened for The Boxmasters at the band\u2019s first Billy Bob\u2019s Texas show on March 19, 2009.<\/a><\/p>\n

The band returned to the \u201cworld\u2019s largest honky tonk\u201d a decade later on July 27, 2019. This summer\u2019s concert will be the band\u2019s first show back at Billy Bob\u2019s in seven years.<\/p>\n

In 2023 and 2024, the band performed just down the road from Billy Bob\u2019s Texas at Tannahill\u2019s Tavern & Music Hall.<\/p>\n

Thornton has become a Fort Worth mainstay over the past couple of years due to Taylor Sheridan\u2019s \u201cLandman.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Paramount+ series is primarily filmed, and partially set, in Fort Worth. The show wrapped up its 10-episode second season in January, and has been renewed for a third go-around.<\/a><\/p>\n

In January, \u201cLandman\u201d co-creator Christian Wallace told the Hollywood Reporter<\/a> that filming on season 3 begins in May. If that remains the case, Thornton will have a busy spring and summer between filming the show and touring with his band.<\/p>\n

For anyone looking to catch up on \u201cLandman,\u201d both seasons are streaming on Paramount+.<\/p>\n
