A Euless location with 82 employees and a west Fort Worth location with 56 empoyees will close permanently.<\/p>\n
Albertsons<\/a> operates more than 2,000 stores across the country under the Albertsons, Tom Thumb, Safeway and Market Street names.<\/p>\n Two other North Texas Tom Thumb stores closed in 2025 in Plano and Allen, while another Tom Thumb opened in December in Sanger.<\/a><\/p>\n Albertsons will close their stores located at <\/a>1155 N. Main Street in Euless<\/a> and at 6700 W. Freeway in Fort Worth<\/a>.<\/p>\n For the Fort Worth location, neighborhood residents will still have an Aldi (700 Alta Mere Dr.) one mile away and a Tom Thumb (6377 Camp Bowie Blvd.) two miles away.<\/p>\n When will the North Texas Albertsons stores close?<\/p>\n It states in the WARN documents that Albertsons in Euless and Fort Worth are both slated to close on or before April 25.<\/p>\n What is happening with the Kroger Albertsons brand merger?<\/p>\n As of 2024, a Federal Trade Commission judge blocked the merger<\/a> to protect consumers from a potential monopoly and ultimately higher grocery prices.<\/p>\n So as of right now, the companies remain independent from each other.<\/p>\n For Kroger news in Fort Worth, the new store at 113 E. Bonds Ranch Road<\/a>, immediately off the exit for U.S. 287, opened in October.<\/p>\n Another Kroger is planned for the Sendera Ranch community<\/a> in far north Fort Worth.
