DEL RIO, Texas – Thirty-one years after her death, Selena Quintanilla\u2019s voice may be silent, but her impact remains as powerful as ever.<\/p>\n
Fans are honoring her legacy with a new exhibit in Del Rio titled \u201cCon Tanto Amor.\u201d The showcase offers a rare, behind the scenes look at the star through the lens of fashion, which remains one of the most iconic elements of her public image.<\/p>\n
The exhibit features never before seen photos from her \u201cSelena, Etc.\u201d fashion show and original designs that have been colorized for the first time.<\/p>\n
The project began after Selena\u2019s original fashion designer met with the event organizer.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the fashion of Selena is something that is talked about, but it\u2019s not at the forefront of her story,\u201d said organizer Matthew Lebroke. \u201cPeople are like, \u2018Yeah, she had amazing costumes,\u2019 but what\u2019s the story behind them?\u201d<\/p>\n
Organizers say the display is more than nostalgia, it is intended to tell the story behind the style and ensure Selena\u2019s legacy reaches new generations of fans.<\/p>\n
