Charges have been filed against a man sought in the\u00a0fatal shooting of a woman found at\u00a02831 Laura Koppe Road about 1:50 p.m. on March 30.<\/p>\n

The suspect,\u00a0Eric Eugene Goosby, 48, is charged with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon in the 495th Criminal District Court. A previous booking photo of Goosby, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.<\/p>\n

The identity of the female victim, 50,\u00a0is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.<\/p>\n

HPD Homicide Division Detectives\u00a0A. Finlay and B. Stephens reported:<\/p>\n

Houston Fire Department personnel found the unresponsive female inside an apartment after responding to a person down call. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n

HPD patrol officers learned neighbors heard gunshots around 9 p.m. on March 29 and saw a male, believed to be the victim\u2019s boyfriend, leaving the apartment alone.<\/p>\n

Further investigation identified\u00a0Eric Eugene Goosby, the boyfriend of the victim, as the suspect in this case. Detectives consulted the Harris County District\u00a0Attorney\u2019s Office and\u00a0Goosby was subsequently charged. At this time, he remains at-large.<\/p>\n
