In Corpus Christi, that work took form in the Woman\u2019s Monday Club, founded in 1897 as a literary society that soon grew into a powerful center of civic action.<\/p>\n<p>Through connections with state and national women\u2019s federations, the club linked local concerns to broader conversations about education, public health, and civic responsibility.
