{"id":230393,"date":"2026-04-01T15:55:18","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T15:55:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/230393\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T15:55:18","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T15:55:18","slug":"austin-restaurateur-to-open-a-taqueria-at-hoovers-cooking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/230393\/","title":{"rendered":"Austin restaurateur to open a taquer\u00eda at Hoover\u2019s Cooking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AUSTIN, Texas \u2014 The owner of two renowned Mexican restaurants in Austin has purchased local southern food institution Hoover\u2019s Cooking, and plans to open a taquer\u00eda on the property are in the works.<\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statesman.com\/entertainment\/dining\/article\/este-suerte-owner-buys-hoovers-austin-restaurant-22099387.php?utm_source=newsletter&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=newsletter_axioslocal_austin&amp;stream=top\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">report<\/a> from the Austin American-Statesman, Este and Suerte owner Sam Hellman-Mass finalized the purchase of the Manor Road staple this week.<\/p>\n<p>Hoover Alexander has operated Hoover\u2019s Cooking for nearly 30 years, bringing comfort food classics to North Austin.
