\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSlick City Action Park<\/a> is getting ready to open its doors in Colleyville later this month, said Brett Huckins, chief operating officer for SlideUp, the company leading Slick City\u2019s expansion into other communities.<\/p>\n

The nearly 40,000-square-foot facility will feature three stories of slides, towering 40-foot ceilings and 15 high-speed attractions, according to a news release from Slick City.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt took some effort in trying to take an old movie theater and see if it could work for a Slick City,\u201d Huckins said. \u201cIt’s never been done before, but when it looked like it was going to be feasible, we were super excited because living as residents in Colleyville [and] having something close by for our community, [I] feel like Colleyville needs something like this.\u201d<\/p>\n

The action park will include an air track basketball and dodgeball courts, which are courts that have a padded flooring that also lets players bounce, Huckins said.<\/p>\n

There will also be a jungle gym and web crawler for children 6 and younger, and an arcade, he said.<\/p>\n

A cafe area will serve pizza, chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, pretzels, ICEEs, Dippin\u2019 Dots, nachos, hot dogs and more, Huckins said. Beer, wine, liquor and margaritas will also be offered, he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not only for kids, it\u2019s [for] adults,\u201d Huckins said.<\/p>\n

The action park will have adult nights for individuals 18 and older.<\/p>\n

Slick City was initially expected to open in December<\/a>, but construction took longer than expected, Huckins said.<\/p>\n

The action park will be located in the old LOOK Dine-In Cinema<\/a>, which shut down in September 2024, Community Impact previously reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n
