Plano West<\/a> extended their winning streak to six on Tuesday, bumping them up to 14-8-1. They put the hurt on the Plano Wildcats<\/a> with a sharp 8-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.<\/p>\n Kendall Prowell<\/a> spent all seven innings on the mound, and it’s clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.<\/p>\n On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brooke Reasoner<\/a>, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and five RBI. Abby Jennings<\/a> was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.<\/p>\n Plano West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they’ve now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in six consecutive contests.<\/p>\n As for Plano, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-10-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, they couldn’t push the score so high this time.<\/p>\n On Plano’s side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Zhang<\/a>, who went 2-for-3 with one double.<\/p>\n Coming up, Plano West will head out on the road to challenge McKinney at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they’ve allowed 12.86 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Plano, they will take on Prosper at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats’ pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.<\/p>\n
