Roads such as I-37, Highway 77, and Highway 281 could see water accumulation during periods of heavier rainfall.<\/p>\n<p>Soils across South Texas remain very dry, which may initially help absorb rainfall, but intense bursts could still overwhelm drainage systems and lead to flash flooding in low-lying areas.<\/p>\n<p>Residents are urged to monitor forecasts, avoid flooded roadways, and prepare for changing conditions through the weekend.
