SAN ANTONIO \u2013 11 students at Vale Middle School were sent to the nurse on Wednesday after potentially drinking expired milk.<\/p>\n
“Vale MS and NISD Child Nutrition staff are investigating an issue of expired milk being served at the campus today. The campus nurse has evaluated a total of eleven students today who reported feeling unwell or became ill. No other reports have been recorded this week,” said the district in a statement.<\/p>\n
According to the students we spoke with, the milks were white and chocolate flavor. Both students described the milk as “disgusting and lumpy.”<\/p>\n
The students also said the expiration date was March 17 and March 18.<\/p>\n
No other NISD schools were impacted. Only a portion of the school’s milk supply was past the expiration date, not the entire inventory.<\/p>\n
