On Wednesday night, the San Antonio Spurs<\/a> played the Golden State Warriors<\/a> at the Chase Center in San Francisco.<\/p>\n

The Spurs won by a score of 127-113.<\/p>\n

Victor Wembanyama<\/a> exploded for 41 points, 18 rebounds, three assists and three blocks while shooting 16\/22 from the field and 2\/6 from three-point range in 29 minutes of playing time.<\/p>\n

Wembanyama is in the middle of an incredible season with averages<\/a> of 24.7 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.1 blocks per contest while shooting 50.9% from the field and 35.0% from three-point range in 61 games.<\/p>\n

He is in his third NBA season (after being picked first in the 2023 draft).<\/p>\n

ESPN Insights wrote (before the game):<\/a> \u201cIn the March, Victor Wembanyama became the first player in the play-by-play era (since 1997-78) to record 50 dunks and 30 threes in a calendar month \ud83e\udd2f<\/p>\n

Over that span, the only other players with 30 dunks and 30 threes in a month were LeBron James<\/a> (March 2018), Kelly Oubre<\/a> Jr. (Feb. 2021) and OG Anunoby<\/a> (Nov. 2024).\u201d<\/p>\n

The Spurs are in the middle of an incredible season where they are the second seed in the Western Conference with a 58-18 record in 76 games.<\/p>\n

Warriors Struggling<\/p>\n

On the other side, the Warriors dropped to 36-40 in 76 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak (and have lost six out of their last ten).<\/p>\n

Following the Spurs, the Warriors will play their next game on Thursday when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers.<\/p>\n
