The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for western parts of North Texas, including Montague, Jack and Young counties until midnight. A few tornadoes, damaging winds of 70 mph and up to 2-inch hail is possible, the weather service said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Those storms should last until about 1\u00a0p.m., when a break in the rain should allow some sunshine to return.\u00a0Temperatures are expected to still\u00a0be warm Thursday afternoon, with highs again in the 80s. However, Friday night’s rain should bring a cold front, dropping the highs for the rest of the weekend down\u00a0around 70.<\/p>\n
Storms should return Friday evening around 7 p.m. and again continue through the overnight hours into midday Saturday. The second round of rain is currently forecast to bring more water, about 1.6 inches. Flooding could be a concern in areas that get higher rain Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
