Calallen waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins… but they left with six. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the King Brahmas. Give the Wildcats’ pitching crew some credit: that’s the team’s third straight shutout.

Hannah Thibodeaux made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn’t given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter’s box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Calallen got a massive performance out of Braelyn Bailey, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Addison Juarez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Calallen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .786. That’s the best OBP they’ve posted all season.

Calallen’s record is now 19-8-2. As for King, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-16.

We’ve got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Calallen will face off against rival Zapata at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, King is set to challenge their familiar foe Tuloso-Midway at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
