Chapin<\/a> is a perfect 10-0 against El Paso<\/a> since March of 2022 and they’ll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Huskies will challenge the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Chapin has five straight victories, El Paso has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you’re on the field.<\/p>\n

If Chapin beats El Paso with 15 runs on Thursday, it’s going to be the squad’s new lucky number: they’ve won their past two games with that exact score. The Huskies put the hurt on Burges with a sharp 15-5 win on Tuesday. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.<\/p>\n

Jaedyne Armendariz<\/a> made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Armendariz was also solid in the batter’s box, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.<\/p>\n

In other batting news, Chapin got a massive performance out of Yaretzi Acosta<\/a>, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Himes<\/a>, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.<\/p>\n

Chapin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. That was just more of the same: they’ve now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in 16 consecutive matchups.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, El Paso lost 18-2 to Canutillo on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

El Paso saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Renatta Gonzalez<\/a>, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.<\/p>\n

El Paso’s defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Chapin, their record is now 21-6.<\/p>\n

Thursday’s game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Chapin has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .541. However, it’s not like El Paso struggles in that department as they’ve averaged .467. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.<\/p>\n

Everything went Chapin’s way against El Paso when the teams last played back in March, as Chapin made off with a 23-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won’t have the home-field advantage this time around.
