A group of San Antonio students got a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of Spurs Sports & Entertainment on Wednesday, while being guided by one of the franchise\u2019s most iconic figures.<\/p>\n
The David Robinson Fellowship, a program founded by Spurs legend David Robinson, visited the Victory Capital Performance Center on the North Side for an exclusive experience designed to introduce scholars to career paths in professional sports.<\/p>\n
Ten students from San Antonio\u2019s East Side participated in the visit, which included conversations with Robinson and several key members of Spurs Sports & Entertainment staff, Dr. Leah Brown, the team\u2019s lead orthopedic surgeon, and Charlie Stevens, the organization\u2019s grassroots scouting director.<\/p>\n
Both shared insights into their roles and the wide range of careers that exist beyond the court.<\/p>\n
Students also received a private tour of the Victory Capital Performance Center, offering a closer look at where players train, recover, and prepare for games.<\/p>\n
