Residents may receive wireless alerts, hear outdoor sirens, or get multiple notifications during the window.<\/p>\n<p>Officials emphasized no action is required and urged people not to call 911.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegular training and testing of public warning systems builds readiness before disaster strikes and is an important component of community safety,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/tdem.texas.gov\/press-release\/3-18-26-drill\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a> Texas Emergency Management Chief Nim Kidd. \u201cConducting drills to reaffirm procedures, promote confidence in technological tools, and identify potential shortfalls is key to ensuring these systems operate with precision, accuracy, and timeliness when they are needed the most.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>State officials coordinated with cities, counties, school districts, colleges, tribal nations, and other agencies for a uniform approach.
