{"id":232027,"date":"2026-04-02T16:19:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T16:19:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/232027\/"},"modified":"2026-04-02T16:19:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T16:19:07","slug":"covenant-health-accepts-unitedhealthcare-plans-following-network-change-with-ttuhsc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/232027\/","title":{"rendered":"Covenant Health accepts UnitedHealthcare plans following network change with TTUHSC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) &#8211; Covenant Health says it is accepting most UnitedHealthcare insurance plans following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcbd.com\/2026\/03\/23\/texas-tech-physicians-deal-with-unitedhealthcare-expiring\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.kcbd.com\/2026\/03\/23\/texas-tech-physicians-deal-with-unitedhealthcare-expiring\/\">contract expiration between UnitedHealthcare and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The announcement comes after more than 30,000 patients lost in-network access to TTUHSC and TExas Tech Physicians on March 31. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Patients who are out of network with TTUHSC can continue their care at Covenant Health facilities. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Covenant Health System operates facilities in across West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">TTUHSC issued a notice of potential termination of its participation agreement with UnitedHealthcare in early 2025. The contract expired March 31 after an agreement on reimbursement rates was not reached. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Texas Tech Physicians said it will continue to provide care to UnitedHealthcare patients, even out of network. However, patients may face higher out-of-pocket costs for medical services. <\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 KCBD.
