A number of Canyon Lake-area schools \u2014 including three elementary schools \u2014 were briefly placed on a “secure” hold status on Thursday, April 2, according to Comal Independent School District.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Rebecca Creek Elementary, Startzville Elementary, Mountain Valley Elementary, Mountain Valley Middle and Canyon Lake High School were all on the “secure” status, meaning that students and staff were to remain inside the building and all outside doors were secured. The district shared that the Comal County Sheriff\u2019s Office received a 911 call earlier Wednesday morning. Law enforcement have since investigated and given the all clear to all of the campuses.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The district said all students and staff are safe and that there is no emergency on campus.
