DALLAS \u2014 Read\u00a0this story and more North Texas business news<\/a>\u00a0from our content partners at the Dallas Business Journal.<\/p>\n The\u00a0$5 billion pediatric hospital campus<\/a> currently under construction in the Southwestern Medical District just secured its fourth $100 million gift and second multimillion-dollar donation within one month.<\/p>\n The 4.7 million-square-foot hospital campus<\/a> rising at corner of Harry Hines Boulevard and Paul Bass Way received the $100 million pledge from the Stephens Greth Foundation<\/a>, according to an April 1 announcement. The donation will result in the Stephens Greth Tower at the Moody Children’s Hospital, one of its three planned towers.<\/p>\n “Building a brand-new, state-of-the-art pediatric hospital from the ground up in Dallas, where we\u2019ve lived for over 30 years, to benefit the children of our community is a once-in-a-generation opportunity,”\u00a0Lyndal Stephens Greth,\u00a0director and\u00a0executive\u00a0chairman of the\u00a0Stephens Greth Foundation and\u00a0daughter of the late\u00a0oilman\u00a0Autry C. Stephens, said in a statement. “For our family, there was never really a question. We felt called to be a part of it \u2014 to be a part of\u00a0helping every child have access to the level of care and support that can\u00a0truly change\u00a0their life.”<\/p>\n The upcoming pediatric campus by Children’s Health and UT Southwestern will replace the existing Children\u2019s Medical Center Dallas once it opens in 2031 with 552 beds. The 33-acre development will also feature more than 20 acres of green space, a new fetal care center, two retail pharmacies and a trauma center with 90 emergency department exam rooms.<\/p>\n
