A rising country star headed to the Alamo City for one of the biggest Fiesta San Antonio events of the season had his very own, \u201cThis is going to ruin the world tour,\u201d moment in the Lone Star State. Tanner\u00a0Usrey was booked into the Collins County jail <\/a>on a DWI and drug-possession charge just two weeks before his big Oyster Bake debut.<\/a><\/p>\n

The country singer, known mostly for hits in the earlier half of the decade like \u201cHold On to Me\u201d and \u201cGive It Some Time,\u201d was arrested in McKinney on Monday, March 30, according to jail records in Collins County. He was booked on two drug possession charges and a driving while intoxicated offense.<\/p>\n

According to those same records, this is Usrey\u2019s second time snagging a DWI case. In Texas, DWI offenses escalate, so he\u2019s facing Class A misdemeanor with a punishment range of 30 days to a year. One of these drug charges is for possessing between 4 and 200 grams of a Penalty Group 1\/1-B drug, which includes meth, cocaine, heroin and fentanyl.<\/p>\n

His other possession charge is for a Penalty Group 2 drug, which are classified as drugs deemed \u201csofter\u201d but that still have no proven medical use. These include THC or marijuana-derived substances outlawed in the ever-confusing Texas legal battle with the psychoactive drug, mushrooms, MDMA, PCP, Adderall, GHB and mescaline.<\/p>\n

According to the arrest records, Usrey, 32, was released from jail on a surety bond. This means he likely entered a contract with a bail bondsman to pay for the $12,500 bond with felony conditions set by a judge. The court records show there was also an affidavit of indigency filed <\/a>in his case, which is often when a defendant is asking to have court costs and attorney\u2019s fees covered by the state due to lack of personal funds.<\/p>\n
