The Department of Justice is accusing nine individuals, including him, his father, and another rapper, Big30, of robbing and kidnapping three music industry professionals at gunpoint at a studio in Dallas, Texas, one being 1017 Records founder Gucci Mane. <\/p>\n<p>The DOJ said in a press release that three music industry professionals were invited to Dallas on Jan. 10 by Pooh Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell Denell Williams Jr., to discuss the terms of his recording contract with one of the music industry professionals. Instead, Pooh Shiesty, along with \u201ceight other co-conspirators,\u201d allegedly performed a \u201ccoordinated armed takeover.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>According to the press release, Pooh Shiesty \u201cproduced an AK-style pistol and forced one of the victims to sign a release from the recording contract at gunpoint.\u201d The other eight defendants allegedly robbed the victims at gunpoint, taking Rolex watches, jewelry, cash, and other high-value items. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cAs alleged, nine defendants travelled to Dallas, Texas, to kidnap and rob victims who thought they were coming into town for a business meeting, said Ryan Raybould, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, in a statement.\u00a0\u201cInstead of discussing business in a civil matter, the defendants resorted to violence and intimidation to achieve their purported business objectives.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>FBI agents reportedly paid a visit to Pooh Shiesty\u2019s home in Cordova, Tennessee, to conduct a search, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox13memphis.com\/news\/fbi-executes-search-and-arrest-warrant-at-pooh-shiestys-family-home-in-cordova\/article_83c533e9-60ec-4b99-9d3f-176ad5d3976a.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"(opens in a new tab)\">per Fox 13 Memphis<\/a>. The rapper was not home and was arrested in Dallas that same day. <\/p>\n<p>Gucci Mane signed the 26-year-old rapper to 1017 Records in 2020, after he started gaining traction online with songs like \u201cAt It Again\u201d and \u201cMain Slime.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>Previously, Pooh Shiesty served a 63-month sentence for shooting a man in a hotel in Florida in 2023 and was released from a Pennsylvania federal prison last October. Gucci Mane confirmed after his release that the \u201cBack in Blood\u201d rapper was still signed with 1017.  <\/p>\n<p>Pooh Shiesty was living in a residential reentry facility in Dallas and was set to stay there until April 11, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtor.com\/news\/celebrity-real-estate\/pooh-shiesty-memphis-home-raid-fbi\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"(opens in a new tab)\">per Realtor.com<\/a>.
