The 26-mile commuter rail has been in DART\u2019s plans for nearly two decades.<\/p>\n<p>DART CEO Nadine Lee called the Silver Line\u2019s opening the \u201crealization of a promise kept to our riders and our region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The specifics<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate the Silver Line\u2019s launch, the train is free to ride through Nov. 8.<\/p>\n<p>DART also hosted grand opening ceremonies at all 10 stations along the Silver Line on Oct. 25.<\/p>\n<p>The Silver Line stretches from the DFW Airport in Grapevine to Shiloh Road in Plano, with two stations in Plano and Richardson. The line also has stops in Dallas, Addison and Carrollton.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&gt;<\/p>\n<p>Quote of note<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re staying focused, we&#8217;re investing wisely, strengthening partnerships and delivering projects that will stand the test of time,\u201d Lee said. \u201cThe Silver Line represents that focus.
