A woman is behind bars in San Antonio, accused of sending child sexual abuse material over\u00a0Snapchat.<\/p>\n
Destinee Alexis Flores, 24, was arrested Tuesday and charged with possession of child pornography, less than 10 visual depictions, a second-degree felony.<\/p>\n
The San Antonio Police Department learned about the alleged offense after Snapchat reported potential child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to an arrest affidavit.<\/p>\n
The social media company reported that an account tied to Flores sent five files containing suspected child sexual abuse material to another user through the app’s chat function on March 15.<\/p>\n
Investigators reviewed each of the videos, which appeared to depict sexual activity involving Flores and a child between the ages of 1 and 3.<\/p>\n
Authorities tied the Snapchat account to Flores through her phone number and\u00a0email. The IP address linked to the account matched the home on the South Side where she was living.<\/p>\n
Her Snapchat account was permanently banned for violating guidelines the\u00a0day the videos were sent, according to the affidavit.<\/p>\n
Since her arrest Tuesday, Flores has been held\u00a0in custody at the\u00a0Bexar County jail with bail set at $100,000.
