On March 20, a campus security authority reported a sexual assault of a student, UTA Police Capt. Mike McCord said in an email. <\/p>\n
Sexual assault is a second-degree felony, punishable by imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for between two and 20 years. Perpetrators may also receive a fine not to exceed $10,000. <\/p>\n
Possession of marijuana <\/p>\n
On March 29, an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation, McCord said. The unaffiliated driver was arrested for multiple warrants and possession of marijuana. She was transported to the Arlington Police Department jail. <\/p>\n
Possession of marijuana of two ounces or less is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000, up to 180 days in jail or both. <\/p>\n
Reckless damage or destruction of property <\/p>\n
On March 24, officers responded to a vehicle that struck a pole, McCord said. <\/p>\n
Reckless damage or destruction of property is a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500. <\/p>\n
Theft of property <\/p>\n
On March 25, a faculty member reported the theft of a toolbox, McCord said. <\/p>\n
Theft of property valued between $100 and $750 is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000, up to 180 days in jail or both. <\/p>\n
The case is still active. <\/p>\n
Possession of alcohol by a minor <\/p>\n
On March 24, officers investigated a report of the smell of marijuana, McCord said. A student was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol. <\/p>\n
Possession of alcohol by a minor is a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500. <\/p>\n
