{"id":233182,"date":"2026-04-03T08:24:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-03T08:24:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/233182\/"},"modified":"2026-04-03T08:24:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-03T08:24:15","slug":"rapper-gucci-mane-allegedly-robbed-kidnapped-in-dallas-by-other-rappers-including-pooh-shiesty-and-big30-doj-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/233182\/","title":{"rendered":"Rapper Gucci Mane allegedly robbed, kidnapped in Dallas by other rappers, including Pooh Shiesty and Big30, DOJ says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rappers Pooh Shiesty and Big30, along with others, are accused of orchestrating an armed kidnapping and robbery of fellow rapper Gucci Mane. <\/p>\n<p>DALLAS \u2014 Rapper Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Delantic Davis, was allegedly robbed and kidnapped by rappers Pooh Shiesty and Big30 in Dallas, according to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).<\/p>\n<p>The DOJ said Thursday that nine people, including the aforementioned rappers, kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint numerous victims at a music studio in Dallas. Eight of the nine suspects were arrested on Wednesday, according to the DOJ, in Dallas, Memphis and Nashville.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a list of the suspects:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lontrell Williams. Jr. a\/k\/a \u201cPooh Shiesty\u201dLontrell Williams, Sr. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Rodney Wright, Jr. a\/k\/a \u201cBig30\u201dKedarius WatersTerrance Rodgers (no arrested yet, per DOJ)Damarian GipsonDemarcus GloverKordae JohnsonDarrion McDaniel                    <\/p>\n<p>The DOJ said a complaint on Jan. 10, three music industry professionals traveled to Dallas for a meeting. Pooh Shiesty, whose real name Lontrell Denell Williams Jr., arranged the meeting, the DOJ said, reportedly to &#8220;discuss the terms of his recording contract with one of the victims.&#8221; Pooh Shiesty first rose to fame with songs like Back in Blood and was signed to Gucci Mane\u2019s 1017 label before run-ins with the law.<\/p>\n<p>When the three men were in the music studio, Williams Jr. and his eight co-conspirators, several of whom traveled from Memphis, &#8220;executed an armed takeover,&#8221; according to the DOJ complaint. The DOJ said Williams Jr. pulled out an AK-style pistol and &#8220;forced one of the victims to sign a release from the recording contract at gunpoint.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The remaining co-conspirators also pulled out guns and robbed the other victims of Rolex watches, jewelry, cash and other high-value items, according to the federal officials. One of the victims was choked during the robbery to the point of near unconsciousness, the DOJ said.<\/p>\n<p>                <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"photo__main\" loading=\"eager\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/c371899b-d722-4089-956e-e00876cb116c_1140x641.jpg\"  alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Rodney Lamont Wright Jr., a.k.a &#8220;Big30,&#8221; barricaded the door to prevent the victims from escaping.<\/p>\n<p>WFAA sister station, WATN, reported Wednesday that the FBI executed a warrant at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.12newsnow.com\/article\/news\/local\/cordova-home-raided-by-fbi-memphis-rapper-pooh-sheisty\/522-1c251306-ac34-46d3-86ea-9fd2ec27c7e7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Pooh Shiesty&#8217;s Memphis-area home<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Williams Jr. was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.12newsnow.com\/article\/news\/local\/memphis-rapper-pooh-shiesty-released-prison\/522-81864bf9-c274-4948-b787-c6ee7e460b3f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">released from jail in October 2025<\/a> after serving three years for a gun charge in Miami, Fla., after he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.localmemphis.com\/article\/news\/local\/memphis-tennessee-rapper-pooh-shiesty-federal-prison\/522-c8e9ede8-2b38-47a2-84f2-c361a472bded\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" id=\"isPasted\">pleaded guilty<\/a> to conspiring to possess firearms in furtherance of crimes of violence and drug trafficking. Williams Jr. was on home detention \u2013 where the terms dictated that he would not commit another crime or possess a firearm \u2013 at the time of this January robbery and kidnapping.<\/p>\n<p>Williams Jr.&#8217;s father, Lontrell Williams Sr., is alleged to have helped plan and execute the kidnapping, according to the DOJ.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/X91tlNV-iV4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Listen to the full DOJ press conference here<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>Within hours of this robbery and kidnapping, numerous suspects in this case posted some of the items stolen on social media, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>                <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"photo__main\" loading=\"eager\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/bfe500ff-7556-4d53-ac91-ae9f36578cb0_1140x641.jpg\"  alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"photo__main\" loading=\"eager\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/f672148d-ce2f-4470-b273-52db39fc198b_1140x641.jpg\"  alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>As outlined in the complaint, some of the evidence establishing the defendants\u2019 roles in the federal offense includes:<\/p>\n<p>Electronic monitoring data placing Williams Jr. at the offense location in violation of his home detention conditions;Cell phone records and license plate reader data corroborating the coordinated travel of multiple defendants from Memphis to Dallas;Rental car records confirming Williams Sr. rented a vehicle used by the group;Surveillance footage from the offense location, a nearby office supply store, and a hotel where several defendants stayed following the offense;Latent fingerprints recovered from the crime scene matching two defendants;Social media posts by defendants displaying what appears to be stolen property in the days following the offense; andGreyhound Bus records confirming the travel of multiple defendants from Dallas to Memphis the day after the offense.                    <\/p>\n<p>If convicted, each defendant faces a sentence of up to life imprisonment, according to the DOJ.<\/p>\n<p>This is a breaking story.
