A popular Dallas-born restaurant chain is making a statewide sweep, bringing more of its salad-stuffed sandwiches to more of Texas.<\/p>\n
Bread Zeppelin<\/a>, known for its salads served in bowls and, famously, baguettes<\/a>, is opening several new locations soon, just months after opening in Houston\u2019s Memorial City<\/a> and McKinney. According to the business’ website, Allen, Frisco and Richardson will soon be added to Bread Zeppelin\u2019s restaurant roster. But plans are also underway for Addison to be on that list, too.<\/p>\n A permit has been filed to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for a Bread Zeppelin that would open near Addison Airport at 15640 Quorum Dr., about 18 miles north of Dallas. Bread Zeppelin is expected to begin construction to renovate the space next week and be finished by the end of June. As always, information in TDLR filings are subject to change.<\/p>\n High school friends Troy Charhon and Andrew Schoellkopf opened the first Bread Zeppelin in Irving in 2013, which they claim was an an \u201cinstant success\u201d within months.\u00a0<\/p>\n After a decade in business, the salad-sandwich combo chain had a bit of viral second act on TikTok<\/a> in 2024 because of the trendy chopped salad craze. And rightfully so, because the chain prides itself on bringing something different to the table \u2026 that\u2019s not a sub or a wrap. The specialty and build-your-own salads can be served in a bowl, but the popular pick is in a \u201cZeppelin\u201d: a toasted, hollowed-out, freshly baked baguette.<\/p>\n Bread Zeppelin currently has 10 open locations, all in Texas, but foodies are hopeful for the brand to bring its baguette biz other parts of the state, and even beyond.\u00a0<\/p>\n
