CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 Corpus Christi police are investigating a shooting along South Padre Island Drive.<\/p>\n

Officers were called to the 6800 block od SPID near the Red Roof Inn after reports of gunfire.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When they arrived, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds and began first aid until EMS took over.<\/p>\n

As the investigation unfolded, officers found a second man at a separate location who had also been shot. Both were taken to the hospital and are expected to be okay.<\/p>\n

Police say the shooting appears to have started as some kind of disturbance that escalated.<\/p>\n

Detectives are still working to piece together exactly what happened and are continuing to talk with witnesses. If someone is arrested, they could face a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.<\/p>\n
