Earlier in the week, Campbell criticized Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark, the conference and Fox Sports for possibly moving the Red Raiders’ game against Houston to Friday, Sept. 18. In a post on X, he called the idea of\u00a0playing on a Friday \u201cabsurd.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201c@brettyormark and I are friends and have a good relationship. We work well together on many fronts, and Texas Tech is very committed to the Big 12. Brett and I have had our disagreements, but I like the guy and respect his hustle,\u201d Campbell said. \u201cHowever, I do stand by a quote I made: the Commissioners work for the Presidents, and the Presidents work for the Boards. The commissioners have not been vested in unilateral authority to do whatever they want. This is an issue throughout college athletics.\u201d<\/p>\n
