He chose Texas, and so did Ella Langley when looking for the perfect spot to shoot the music video for her No. 1 single \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas.\u201d<\/a> The music video, which was released on April 1, was filmed in Fort Worth.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Stagecoach Ballroom served as the quintessential setting for Abilene, or the kind of Texas people envision <\/a>before setting foot in the state, the type where children ride horses to school and tumbleweeds decorate every road.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Ella chose Stagecoach Ballroom for this production, it felt like she was bringing a heartbeat back to our dance floor,\u201d Julia Paur, a spokesperson for the Stagecoach Ballroom,<\/a> said in a press release. \u201cThis entire production came together in just two weeks.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the seven-minute video, a recreation of the song\u2019s lyrics, Langley is seen arriving in Abilene, Texas, her boyfriend\u2019s home state. There, he runs into an old flame, and Langley realizes he\u2019s probably choosing Texas over her, forcing her to return to Tennessee alone.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The video boasts a roster of Western Renaissance media giants, including Luke Grimes of Yellowstone, Ava Phillippe, daughter of Reese Witherspoon and a cameo by country music star and native North Texan,\u00a0 Miranda Lambert.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The video, directed partly by Langley, also employed local film industry professionals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are grateful to have unique locations and a film-friendly community to consistently make the production process seamless and successful,\u201d Taylor Hardy, Fort Worth Film Commissioner, said in a press release.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The song, released in October 2025, spent four consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. And a large part of that is from the Dallas Stars, who have claimed the song as their \u201cunofficial anthem\u201d and keep it on repeat before games and practices, the team told the Dallas Morning News.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we hop on the plane, we throw on the same tune, kind of on repeat,\u201d said rookie center Justin Hryckowian. \u201cWe kind of all got forced to like it. As soon as we kept hearing it, we were like, \u2018All right, we really like this.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The song is the lead single for Langley\u2019s album,\u00a0Dandelion,\u00a0which is set to be released on April 10.
