A 34-year-old man is in custody after leading Texas Department of Public Safety troopers on a brief pursuit that ended in a crash on San Antonio\u2019s West Side Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
A trooper attempted to stop a black BMW around 2:15\u00a0p.m. on Zarzamora Street, according to DPS. The driver refused to pull over and sped off, striking another vehicle during the attempted getaway.<\/p>\n
Authorities said the driver continued to evade troopers until another DPS unit deployed spike strips. The BMW then lost control and struck a curb at the intersection of Northwest 18th Street and\u00a0Culebra Road, ending the pursuit.<\/p>\n
The driver, identified only as a 34-year-old man, was taken into custody without incident. He is expected to face charges including failure to stop and render aid, fraud and evading arrest with a vehicle.<\/p>\n
Two men in the other vehicle were not injured, DPS said.<\/p>\n
