{"id":234477,"date":"2026-04-04T03:40:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-04T03:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/234477\/"},"modified":"2026-04-04T03:40:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T03:40:07","slug":"suspect-attempts-to-evade-dps-troopers-arrested-after-chase-ends-in-major-crash-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/234477\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspect attempts to evade DPS Troopers, arrested after chase ends in major crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN ANTONIO &#8211; A suspect has been arrested after a pursuit involving state troopers ended in a major crash.<\/p>\n<p>Around 2:15 p.m. on Friday, a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) State Trooper attempted to stop a black BMW sedan driving along Zarzamora Street.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Texas DPS, the driver of that vehicle evaded troopers, crashing into another vehicle, but continuing to evade.<\/p>\n<p>Law enforcement used spike strips to disable the BMW. The driver then lost control and collided with a curb at the intersection of NW 18th Street &amp; Culebra St.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers arrested the driver, a 34-year-old man, who will be charged with Fail to Stop and Render Aid, Fraud, and Evading w\/ a Vehicle. <\/p>\n<p>The occupants inside the struck vehicle were not injured.
