Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plano West<\/a>). They put the hurt on the McKinney Lions<\/a> with a sharp 19-2 victory on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.<\/p>\n Kendall Prowell<\/a> made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). Prowell was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.<\/p>\n In other batting news, Brooke Reasoner<\/a> was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Jennings<\/a>, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.<\/p>\n Plano West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .640. That was just more of the same: they’ve now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in seven consecutive contests.<\/p>\n Plano West’s record is now 15-8-1. As for McKinney, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.<\/p>\n Coming up, Plano West will face off against Allen at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last six games. As for McKinney, they will square off against Prosper at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The Lions’ pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.<\/p>\n
