<\/p>\n LUBBOCK, Texas (April 3, 2026) \u2013 Cameron took advantage of fast starts and claimed a Lone Star Conference doubleheader sweep Friday at Maner Park with a 4-2 and 6-4 win over Lubbock Christian University. HISTORY LESSON

\nGAME 1
\nCameron capitalized on early opportunities and received a strong relief outing from Stormee Reed to claim a 4-2 victory in the opening game.
\n\u00a0
\nThe Aggies improved to 20-20 overall and 12-15 in conference play, while LCU dropped to 18-17 overall and 14-11 in the LSC.
\n\u00a0
\nCameron was led offensively by Kyndel McDaniel, who connected on a two-run home run to highlight a three-RBI performance, while Rylee Ross added a pair of hits and scored once. Haley Gardella also contributed with an RBI single.
\n\u00a0
\nIn the circle, Reed (9-6) earned the win in relief, allowing just one unearned run on three hits over four innings while striking out three. Chloe Hill started the game and allowed one run over three innings.

\nLubbock Christian finished with seven hits, led by Riley Flores<\/a>, who went 2-for-3 with a walk, while Kadin Vire<\/a> and Ashlinn Hamilton<\/a> each scored a run. \nHOW IT HAPPENED
\nCameron struck first in the second inning, taking advantage of defensive miscues. Kyley Cochran opened the frame with a single and later scored on a fielder’s choice play that included a pair of LCU errors, giving the Aggies a 1-0 lead.

\nThe Aggies extended their advantage in the fourth. Ross singled and moved into scoring position before McDaniel launched a two-run home run to left-center, pushing the lead to 3-0.
\n\u00a0
\nLCU responded in the bottom half of the inning. Vire led off with a bunt single and advanced into scoring position before Pacheco delivered a sacrifice fly to center, trimming the deficit to 3-1.
\n\u00a0
\nBoth teams were held in check through the fifth, as Clark worked around traffic and Reed settled in after entering in relief.
\n\u00a0
\nThe Lady Chaps pulled within one in the sixth inning. Hamilton reached on an error and later scored when Pacheco lined an RBI single through the right side, cutting the Cameron lead to 3-2.

\nCameron added a key insurance run in the seventh. Chloe Broussard worked a walk and advanced into scoring position before Gardella delivered an RBI single to center, extending the lead to 4-2.

\nLCU threatened in the bottom of the seventh, as Flores drew a one-out walk, but Reed closed the door by retiring the final two batters to secure the victory.

\nCameron used a five-run burst over the first two innings and held off a late rally to defeat Lubbock Christian 6-4 in the second game. The Aggies improved to 21-20 overall and 13-15 in conference play, while LCU fell to 18-18 overall and 14-12 in the LSC.

\nCameron was paced by Haley Gardella, who drove in three runs on a key extra-base hit, while Camryn Hunkins went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored. Kyndel McDaniel and Rylee Ross each added an RBI in the win.

\nIn the circle, Mikah Vann (3-3) earned the victory, limiting LCU to one run on five hits over six innings with three strikeouts. Stormee Reed worked the seventh and allowed three runs, but secured the final out to close the game.

\nThe Aggies broke the game open in the second inning. Camryn Hunkins sparked the rally with a single, and after a walk and another base hit loaded the bases, Gardella cleared them with a three-RBI double to right-center. Ross followed with an RBI single to cap the four-run frame and extend the lead to 5-0.
\n\u00a0
\nCameron added another run in the third, as Krisyana Pellett doubled and came around to score on an RBI single from Hunkins, pushing the advantage to 6-0.

\nLCU threatened multiple times against Vann but was unable to break through early, stranding runners in scoring position in both the first and third innings. The Lady Chaps finally broke through in the seventh after being held scoreless through six frames. Julie Muniz<\/a> drew a leadoff walk and Lexi Clark<\/a> followed with a single to put two aboard. After a bunt moved both runners into scoring position, Madison Hunter<\/a> reached on a walk, and a defensive miscue allowed Muniz to score the first run.

\nHamilton then delivered the biggest hit of the inning, ripping a two-run double to left to cut the deficit to 6-3. Burris followed with an RBI-double to right, bringing LCU within 6-4 and putting the tying run at the plate. However, Reed induced a pop-up to end the game, stranding the potential tying run and sealing the win for Cameron.

\nCameron had lost five straight meetings against LCU until the two wins Friday over LCU, who remains leading the all-time series with a 13-8 record (5-4 at home).
