EL PASO, Texas (KTSM<\/a>) \u2014 A mother records the moment an El Paso police officer who is allegedly serving a warrant punches her daughter who is pinned down.<\/p>\n

According to a newly released statement, El Paso police said officers were looking for a suspect they said was wanted for family violence\/assault. In the statement, the acknowledged \u201cforce was used during the apprehension\u201d during the arrest a home.<\/p>\n

Police said the woman in the video was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on family violence\/assault charges and resisting arrest with bonds of $3,000 and $1,000. Police officials did not disclose the woman\u2019s name, but they did say she was released from the jail on a personal recognizance bond.<\/p>\n

Per department policy, the Internal Affairs Division is reviewing the incident. We recognize the community\u2019s concern and are committed to transparency. We will share further information as the investigation allows, and appreciate the public\u2019s patience.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s important to note that KTSM 9 News does not know what happened in the moments before the incident was recorded. <\/p>\n

In the beginning of the video, two officers are seen attempting to arrest a woman in a corner of a room.<\/p>\n

The woman is screaming and one officer responds, \u201cYou have a warrant for your arrest.\u201d The suspect can be heard saying, \u201clook at this man.\u201d as both officers are grab her.<\/p>\n

The officers are seen moving closer to grab the woman, and she screams \u201c\u2013ck you.\u201d One officer can be heard saying, \u201cYou have a warrant for your arrest, stop fighting.\u201d<\/p>\n

A person in the room can be heard saying, \u201cQuit fighting, quit fighting.\u201d The suspect then tells officers, \u201cYou can\u2019t just break into my home.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video then shows the officers moving the woman away from the corner and placing her on a sofa covered with blankets and pillows.<\/p>\n

The person recording the interaction, who later identified herself as the woman\u2019s mother, can be heard questioning officers, \u201cWhy are you grabbing her like that? You don\u2019t got to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The suspect who appears to be getting away, tells officers, \u201cWhat the \u2013ck are you doing?\u201d The mother then says, \u201cWhy is he beating her up?\u201d<\/p>\n

The struggle continues between the suspect and the officers, until one officer is on top of the suspect, pinning her down to the ground as he tries placing her in handcuffs.<\/p>\n

When on the ground, the suspect tells the officer, \u201cWhy are you beating me up? Why the \u2013ck are you on top of me?\u201d<\/p>\n

The woman tells her mother to record the incident as the police officer continues to restrain her. It appears then that the officer is then pushing the woman\u2019s head down. The suspect demanding answers asks the officer, \u201cWhy the \u2013ck are you hitting me?\u201d The alleged mother is heard asking, \u201cWhy is he beating her up? Why are you letting him beat her up?\u201d<\/p>\n

The officer on top of the suspect tells the other officer to \u201cget this arm,(right)\u201d as they are trying to place her in handcuffs.<\/p>\n

The suspect then tells her mother that the officers \u201ctased her three times and they\u2019re literally holding me hostage. They\u2019re literally pinning me down. This mother \u2013cker is literally going to break my \u2013cken arm.\u201d<\/p>\n

The officer is seen handcuffing one arm as he struggles getting her other arm while on the ground. The alleged mother tells officers, \u201cYou\u2019re going to break her arm.\u201d<\/p>\n

The suspect then tells officers, \u201cThen why don\u2019t you ask me what to do?\u201d The suspect and another person are heard saying, \u201cWhat is your name, officer?\u201d and \u201cI want your badge numbers.\u201d<\/p>\n

The officers tell the suspect to give them her arm, but the struggle continues. The officer on top of the woman tells her, \u201cGive me your arms.\u201d The suspect echoes the demand, \u201cI want your badge numbers.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the suspect asked for the officers\u2019 badge numbers a second time, the officer on top of the woman is then seen punching her once in the face. The impact of the hit is heard as those in the room gasp after the punch. The alleged mother is heard saying, \u201cWe got that (on camera).\u201d The suspect is seen holding her face with her free hand.<\/p>\n

The suspect tells the officers, \u201cCall your supervisors,\u201d as they are still attempting to restrain her.<\/p>\n

The suspect is heard saying, \u201cCall 911. He just gave me a black eye. Call the supervisor.\u201d One person can be heard saying, \u201cYou did not have to hit her.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video that appears to be edited skips to the moment officers have the suspect face down on a table and are struggling to handcuff her. The suspect is still yelling,\u201d Call their supervisor. Tell them they\u2019re literally punching me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The officers stand up with the suspect and place her onto the sofa. One person is yelling, \u201cGod, they\u2019re punching her and beating the \u2013ck out of her!\u201d<\/p>\n

Yelling ensues and more officers get involved in the arrest. The alleged mother is heard saying, \u201cWhy is he hitting her?\u201d and \u201cStop! Hey!\u201d<\/p>\n

One person is heard saying, \u201cPoor girl,\u201d after three officers are seen restraining the woman. \u201cShe\u2019s one girl!\u201d they yelled.<\/p>\n

The suspect then yells, \u201cI can\u2019t breathe.\u201d<\/p>\n

One officer tells the alleged mother to leave, but she says, \u201cNo, I\u2019m recording this cause he beat her up. He tased her three times and you punched her.\u201d One officer tells the suspect \u201cRelax!\u201d<\/p>\n

She yells again, \u201cI can\u2019t breathe, get off of me!\u201d As another person echoes, \u201cShe can\u2019t breathe,\u201d and an officer says, \u201cShe can breathe.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video jumps again showing that the suspect is now handcuffed being carried out of the home. A person says, \u201cYou\u2019re beating my granddaughter, I want the supervisor over here too right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the officers escort the suspect, she tells the officers, \u201cGet the \u2013ck off of me. Why is he choking me? Why are you \u2013cken choking me?\u201d<\/p>\n

As they carry the suspect out of the home she screams, \u201cOw! \u2013ck you, you \u2013cken \u2014hole.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sirens can be heard and a large police presence is seen outside the home.<\/p>\n

The alleged mother is heard saying, \u201cWe don\u2019t need all of this (police units) for one person.\u201d<\/p>\n

An officer tells the mother to \u201cget back,\u201d but she says, \u201cNo. This is my home and they just beat up my daughter in front of me. She was coming out peacefully, (they) tased her, he beat her up and she has autism.\u201d<\/p>\n

The mother goes on to tell the officer that she has the medical records to prove the suspect\u2019s diagnosis.<\/p>\n

One person asks an officer if he is the supervisor, and he nods. The person tells the supervisor that they \u201cwant all the badge numbers that just did that to her.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the conversation between the alleged mother and the police supervisor, the woman explains that they had just arrived after being at the grocery store. She alleges that police officer that first arrived \u201clied.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey lied and they said that a transit called and complained that there was noise. We had just come from Albertsons. We just got home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Officers are seen going into the home, which the police supervisor explained that it was to \u201cretrieve their equipment.\u201d<\/p>\n

The alleged mother demanding answers asks why her daughter was arrested. An officer inside the home explains there was a warrant out for her arrest.<\/p>\n

The alleged mother continues question police and pointing out that punch wasn\u2019t necessary.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat one (officer), he didn\u2019t, he was beating her up.\u201d The officer asks the mother, \u201cBut did she listen?\u201d The mother replies, \u201cNo, she has autism. You hit her in the face.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the ending of the video, police officers are seen searching for the wires that deployed when a stun gun was alleged used on the suspect.<\/p>\n

The police officer who was recorded punching the woman identified himself as Tavera 3814.<\/p>\n

At this time the names of the parties involved are unknown, and why police were at the home.<\/p>\n

No information has been released on what led up to the struggle. KTSM 9 News has reached out to the El Paso Police Department for a statement.<\/p>\n
