LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The City of Lubbock is reminding residents to turn off their sprinklers as the area faces a potential first freeze.<\/p>\n
Water use that causes runoff onto roadways or sidewalks can create unsafe conditions for pedestrians and drivers when temperatures drop below freezing, city officials said.<\/p>\n
The runoff also could violate city ordinances. The city\u2019s Code Administration Department officers will be monitoring for violations.<\/p>\n
