If a team pulls him away from New Orleans, you can probably point to money and opportunity. The Dallas Cowboys can give Jordan both. The latter would look different than it would in most places.

The Cowboys have never been afraid to throw a bag at a player they want. On SI’s Zach Pressnell believes the Cowboys could like Jordan. After shipping away Micah Parsons, they’re still looking to rebuild after that major loss. You don’t replace a player like Parsons with one guy. Coming off a revitalized year, Jordan could be a part of Dallas’ solution.

Jordan would love to return to the Saints, and they should remain the likeliest destination until Jordan signs elsewhere. The longer the two sides go without agreeing to a deal, the more likely a separation becomes a reality. If the Jordan doesn’t return to the Saints, the Cowboys become an unconventional landing spot.

Cam Jordan to the Cowboys would say a lot about priorities

If the 2026 campaign is Jordan’s swan song, the Cowboys could be a logical launching pad. It’s no secret Jordan will step into media once his playing career is over. There is no better place in the NFL to propel into a media career than the Dallas Cowboys.

It’s not that Jordan needs any help in that department. He’s already making regular appearances on networks. It’s clear that the networks love him, however, it never hurts to get as much backing as possible. Jordan is already on track to do it on his own, and the Cowboy name will just open up more doors in media.

The problem is the Cowboys don’t provide Jordan with a winning team for one last season. The Cowboys are coming off back to back seven win seasons. It’s better than the Saints, but it doesn’t scream contender. They have the offensive firepower to turn it around, but the defense is a work in progress.

In an ideal world, Jordan either plays for the Saints or jumps ship for a bonafide Super Bowl contender. The Cowboys don’t check either box. Their connections in life after football could still make them an interesting and attractive option for Jordan. They also come with enough talent to be a good team in 2026, so it wouldn’t be a money and media exclusive decision.

Cam Jordan has made it abundantly clear he’d like to remain with the New Orleans Saints.
