A man allegedly shot a suspect asking kids for sex, and in a separate incident, a teenager was killed in an accidental shooting at an apartment complex, the Fort Worth Police Department reported.<\/p>\n
Officers responded to the 3700 block of Century Place<\/a> in South Fort Worth at 11:43 p.m. Friday after reports of an intoxicated man propositioning<\/a> children for sexual favors. As the first units arrived, they heard a single gunshot and spotted a man matching the suspect\u2019s description walking near a convenience store toward nearby apartments.<\/p>\n Investigators learned the man had been shot in the groin by a group of three people. One of them, Marckus Renfro, was detained at the scene and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Tarrant County jail records.<\/p>\n Renfro also faces separate prior charges of assault causing bodily injury, assault causing bodily injury-family violence, evading arrest or detention, and continuous violence against the family. His total bond was set<\/a> at $50,000.<\/p>\n The two other people with Renfro were not identified and were not detained.<\/p>\n The man who was shot \u2014 identified by police as the original suspect in the solicitation reports \u2014 was taken to a hospital.<\/p>\n The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n In an unrelated incident in South Fort Worth, a teenager died in a shooting at a Fort Worth apartment complex on Sunday evening, police said.<\/p>\n Officers responded just after 5:15 p.m. to the 6600 block of South Hulen<\/a>, where they found a 16-year-old with a gunshot wound. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
