The Coastal Bend Bays Foundation (CBBF) will host its free 27th Annual Earth Day-Bay Day festival this Saturday, April 11, at Heritage Park in Corpus Christi, bringing thousands together for a day focused on environmental awareness and family-friendly activities.<\/p>\n
CBBF says the event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is expected to draw large crowds, with more than 60 exhibitors participating.<\/p>\n
Organizers say the festival features a mix of environmental, academic, industry, and community groups offering hands-on activities, educational experiences, food, and giveaways.<\/p>\n
The annual event is designed to promote environmental stewardship while connecting the community with local resources and opportunities. Last year’s festival reached nearly 10,000 people. Heritage Park is located at 1581 N Chaparral St.<\/p>\n
“Earth Day-Bay Day is an extraordinary opportunity to connect, educate, and inspire our community,” said Sandi Hart, president of the Coastal Bend Bays Foundation. “This event is all about environmental stewardship and creating unique experiences for the Coastal Bend community.”<\/p>\n
This year’s highlights include a “Birds of Prey” presentation, animal encounters from the Gladys Porter Zoo, a climbing rock wall, Texas Parks and Wildlife’s Coastal Expo, and live music from local artist Eric Graham. Attendees can also enjoy a kids’ construction activity area, free emissions testing, animal adoptions, and a free commemorative poster.<\/p>\n
