Airport lounges at DFW Airport continue to get more sophisticated with amenities like Peloton bikes and relaxation pods<\/a>. And the American Express Centurion lounge at DFW Airport will follow that pattern.<\/p>\n

The credit card company announced in an April 1 news release<\/a> that its lounge at DFW will soon expand by nearly 50 percent. The lounge will remain open during renovations and is expected to be completed with its new makeover by 2027.<\/p>\n

The American Express Centurion<\/a> lounge is a complimentary amenity for Platinum Card Members. Currently, the lounge offers food and drink menus from celebrity chefs, remote work spaces, conference rooms and a shower suite.<\/p>\n

Its Terminal D neighbor, the Capital One Lounge<\/a>, offers food buffets, a coffee bar, a workout room, sleeping options, showers and charging stations, in addition to Peletons and relaxation pods.<\/p>\n

The American Express Lounge at DFW Airport will add more seating, a new dining area and a second full service bar \u2014 including a walk-up ice cream window.<\/p>\n

The seasonal food and beverage menus offered at the Centurion Lounge are curated by James Beard Award-winning chefs.<\/a> Each of the four chefs brought a taste of their restaurants to the menu:<\/p>\n

Chef Kwame Onwuachi, with restaurants Tatiana in New York and D\u014dgon in Washington, D.C., brings Suya Short Ribs and Tamarind Ice Box Cake.Chef Mashama Bailey, with a southern restaurant, The Grey in Savannah, Ga., provides gluten-friendly Paprika Chicken as well as a torched Espresso Cr\u00e8me Br\u00fbl\u00e9e.James Beard award-winning Chef Mike Solomonov<\/a> owns eight restaurant concepts across New York, Philadelphia, and Miami with a speciality in Israeli cuisine. Dishes from him include Pomegranate Glazed Salmon topped with Tabbouleh, as well as Charred Broccolini with Kashkaval Cheese & Lemon.Chef Sarah Grueneberg is a chef partner at Monteverde Restaurant & Pastificio in Chicago and brings Italian influence with vegan Lemony Orzo with Artichokes and Dill, as well as a Grilled Corn and Cucumber Salad with Avocado and Cilantro Salsa Verde.<\/p>\n

An American Express spokesperson told the Star-Telegram that the lounge will remain open during construction. Because of the project scale, there may be times when the lounge operates at reduced capacity, but the core services will remain open.<\/p>\n

Card members can find the lounge in Terminal D near gate D12<\/a>.<\/p>\n

How to access the American Express Centurion Lounge<\/p>\n

American Express Platinum Card Members can access The Centurion Lounge within three hours of their departure time.<\/p>\n

Access the American Express app<\/a> to sign up for a lounge time slot. Once the lounge is available, you will receive an eligibility code. Card members can present their card along with their boarding pass to access the lounge.<\/p>\n
