A century-old building with an ideal location in the booming Fort Worth Stockyards is back on the market, according to the latest listing.<\/p>\n

The building and property located at 2629 N Main Street, the former home of the Los Vaqueros restaurant, is in an ideal location across the street from Billy Bob’s Texas. It was first put on the market in 2024, WFAA previously reported.<\/a> It was later purchased in September 2025 by a group of investors, including the owners of Kentucky-based Horse Soldier bourbon and its affiliate Urban Stillhouse, which planned to partner with \u00a0McKibbon Hospitality<\/a> to develop a hotel, restaurant, and tasting room on the site.<\/p>\n

Those plans didn’t come to fruition because the investor group was forced to consider demolishing the historic building<\/a>, according to Dawn Greiner of SRS Real Estate Partners, one of the agents listing the property. Rather than risk demolition, the owners put the building up for sale, she added.<\/p>\n

The investors expect the building to sell for around $15 million. The 33,000 square foot structure was built in 1906 and sits on about 2.236 acres. It was built to be a slaughterhouse, but was likely used as a barn.<\/p>\n

SRS Real Estate Partners expects the building will be purchased and used for a hotel or hospitality concept, such as a restaurant or venue.<\/p>\n

Fort Worth’s Historic Stockyards is in the process of a broader transformation that, in part, started with the development a Mule Alley<\/a>, which features a luxury hotel and higher-end shops and restaurants. Before that, it was known as an entertainment hub. Billy Bob’s Texas, famous for its live music and line dancing, is just a block away from 2629 N.
