The BMW then crashed into a concrete barrier, investigators said, causing the BMW to catch on fire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">According to authorities, another driver stopped and tried to help the BMW&#8217;s driver out of the car, but was unable to due to the flames. Houston Fire Department paramedics later responded and pronounced the driver dead at the scene, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The identity of the victim, who HPD described as a 38-year-old woman, is still pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">Police said that no other vehicles or people were involved in the crash.
