AUSTIN, Texas \u2014 Police have identified the victim of a homicide near an apartment complex in northwest Austin<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n According to the Austin Police Department(APD), 35-year-old Joshua Williams was shot and killed in the incident in the 10900 block of Brazoria Lane.<\/p>\n Police say officers responded to the scene near The Cottages at Northwoods apartment complex around 12:42 a.m. after reports of shots fired. A 911 caller reported her boyfriend had been shot.<\/p>\n Officers arriving on the scene located Williams with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:09 a.m.<\/p>\n No arrests have been made at this time, APD said.<\/p>\n Detectives believe the suspect may have driven around the neighborhood when attempting to leave. They are asking neighbors share any video footage in the area from between 11:30 p.m. and 1 a.m. Anyone with photos, video or other potential evidence is asked to share them with APD<\/a>.<\/p>\n Tips can also be submitted by calling APD at 512-974-TIPS, or by calling Crime Stoppers anonymously at 512-472-8477 or by visiting austincrimestoppers.org.
