{"id":237849,"date":"2026-04-06T23:13:13","date_gmt":"2026-04-06T23:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/237849\/"},"modified":"2026-04-06T23:13:13","modified_gmt":"2026-04-06T23:13:13","slug":"newquest-breaks-ground-on-multitenant-component-at-texas-heritage-marketplace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/237849\/","title":{"rendered":"NewQuest breaks ground on multitenant component at Texas Heritage Marketplace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNewQuest has broken ground on the multitenant component of the 165-acre Texas Heritage Marketplace in Waller County, officials announced in an April 6 news release.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/houston\/katy-north\/development\/2025\/03\/14\/decade-in-the-making-long-awaited-texas-heritage-marketplace-breaks-ground-filling-in-i-10-corridor-plat\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">$400 million development<\/a>, located at the southeast corner of Texas Heritage Parkway and I-10, is anticipated to have more than 1 million square feet of retail, restaurants, medical office space and self-storage, officials previously said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&gt;<\/p>\n<p>The details<\/p>\n<p>The multitenant phase will bring 5-acres of park-like green space, dubbed Heritage Grove, which will be surrounded by 35,000 square feet of businesses as well as four junior anchors, per the release.<\/p>\n<p>Junior anchors include:<\/p>\n<p>Academy + SportsBurlingtonSpec&#8217;s Fine Wines &amp; SpiritsUlta BeautyNewQuest officials have preleased more than 90% of Texas Heritage Marketplace in approximately 18 months, per the release. Some <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/houston\/katy-fulshear\/development\/2025\/09\/12\/see-what-12-businesses-are-confirmed-for-texas-heritage-marketplace\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">commitments<\/a> include Chase Bank, Whataburger, James Avery, Mattress Firm and The Kebab Shop.<\/p>\n<p>By the numbers<\/p>\n<p>Experts are forecasting Target, Lowe\u2019s and a membership-based wholesale club, whose name has not been officially released due to a confidentiality agreement, will bring in 4 million annual visits alone, while 9 million customers per year are expected for the entire development, per the release.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As it stands, Waller and surrounding rural counties have been unserved by major retailers.
