LUBBOCK, Texas\u00a0\u2013 No. 8 Arizona continued its dominant run through Big 12 play on Sunday afternoon, taking down Texas Tech 4-1.

\nArizona set the tone early by capturing the doubles point in a competitive battle across all three courts. The Wildcats kicked things off with a win on Court 3, as Cole Stelse<\/a> and Alejandro Arcila<\/a> delivered a strong 6-2 victory over Felipe Pagnacco and Thomas VanDen Dooren to even the score. With the point on the line, the No. 30-ranked duo of Filip Gustafsson<\/a> and Glib Sekachov<\/a> rose to the occasion, securing a 6-4 win over Niksa Arsic and Thiago Guglieri at the top spot to give Arizona a 1-0 lead.

\nWith momentum on their side, the Wildcats carried their energy into singles play, where three hard-fought victories sealed the match. Alejandro Arcila<\/a> extended Arizona’s lead with a third set win at No. 6, defeating Thomas VanDen Dooren 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 in a back-and-forth battle. No. 59 Filip Gustafsson<\/a> followed with a exciting victory\u00a0\u00a0at No. 2, dominating the first set 6-0 before outlasting Tyler Stewart in a tight third set, 6-0, 6-7 (8-10), 6-3.

\nTexas Tech got on the board at No. 3 singles, where Ludovico Vaccari rallied past No. 82 Alexander Rozin<\/a> in three sets, 6-7 (5-7), 6-1, 6-1, but Arizona quickly shut the door.

\nThe clinching point came from No. 4 Jay Friend<\/a> at the top of the lineup, who battled back after dropping the first set to defeat Niksa Arsic 4-6, 6-2, 6-4. The victory marked another statement performance for the fourth-ranked Wildcat, sealing the match and securing Arizona’s sixth consecutive conference win.
