183A Toll at Scottsdale Drive dedicated U-turn<\/a><\/p>\n Project: This project will shift through-lanes west and construct a new right-turn lane at Scottsdale Drive.<\/p>\n Update: Plans that include the first 30% of the design process are being reviewed.<\/p>\n Timeline: expected completion winter 2027Cost: $1.3 millionFunding source: 2022 transportation bondFM 812 improvement project<\/a><\/p>\n Project: FM 812 will be upgraded to increase safety, reduce congestion and improve mobility.<\/p>\n Update: The project spans from US 183 in Travis County to Hwy. 21 in Bastrop County.<\/p>\n Timeline: expected to finalize design plans in spring 2026Cost: $145 millionFunding source: Texas State Highway FundFinal vision for alternative to Hwy. 71 approved in Bee Cave<\/a><\/p>\n Several changes to Bee Cave\u2019s Thoroughfare Plan were approved at the March 24 Bee Cave City Council meeting, marking updates to the city\u2019s future transportation goals in the area.<\/p>\n One of several changes includes approval of a final alignment for a Southwest Collector road that connects to Hamilton Pool Road, intended to provide an alternative path to Hwy. 71<\/p>\n The chosen option aligns the Southwest Collector to meet at the Bee Cave Elementary School driveway and includes one signalized intersection, rather than two nearby intersections.<\/p>\n Read the full story. <\/a><\/p>\n Hutto moves forward with CR 137 roundabout project<\/a><\/p>\n Plans for a new roundabout near CR 137 and FM 1660 in Hutto are in the works, as City Council approved grant funding for the project during a March 12 meeting.<\/p>\n The project, which is being led by the Hutto Economic Development Corp., includes the construction of a roundabout and additional lanes at the intersection of CR 137 and FM 1660. The project is meant to help traffic flow better along the two roadways.<\/p>\n In a 4-1 vote, Hutto City Council approved $11.2 million in economic development grant funding for the project.<\/p>\n Read the full story. <\/a><\/p>\n Ongoing projects <\/p>\n Ronald Reagan Boulevard lane widening<\/a><\/p>\n Project: Work is widening 7 miles of roadway on Ronald Reagan Boulevard from FM 3405 to SH 29 with a northbound-only section and a separate two-lane southbound road.<\/p>\n Update: Construction is currently underway.<\/p>\n Timeline: August 2024-summer 2027Cost: $52.4 millionFunding source: Williamson County 2019 road bondAustin to shutter South Terminal as airport expansion continues; future Concourse M designs revealed<\/a><\/p>\n The South Terminal at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport officially shut down March 31 after less than a decade in operation.<\/p>\n The auxiliary terminal will be demolished to make way for new midfield taxiways as part of the multiyear Journey with AUS campus expansion. That includes the addition of the 26-gate Concourse B with a new connecting tunnel to the existing Barbara Jordan Terminal, and the development of a temporary six-gate southern terminal called Concourse M.<\/p>\n While new terminal development will take several years, other Journey with AUS initiatives will be completed in the coming months.
