Cheniere\u2019s Corpus Christi Liquefaction submitted documents related to the commissioning of the train to the US FERC on April 3.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe compliance statements and associated documentation are in support of a forthcoming request by CCL to introduce fuel gas and hot oil to midscale Train 6,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n
Last week, Cheniere reached<\/a> substantial completion of the fifth liquefaction train at the Corpus Christi Stage 3 expansion project in Texas.<\/p>\n According to Cheniere, the seven-train, 10-plus mtpa CCL Stage 3 project \u201ccontinues to track on budget and ahead of schedule.\u201d<\/p>\n In March 2025, Cheniere\u00a0achieved<\/a>\u00a0substantial completion of the first liquefaction train at the Corpus Christi Stage 3 expansion project, while the company\u00a0completed<\/a>\u00a0the second liquefaction train in August,\u00a0the third train<\/a>\u00a0in October, and\u00a0the fourth train<\/a>\u00a0in December.<\/p>\n Cheniere CEO\u00a0Jack Fusco\u00a0recently said during an event in Houston that the company is working with Bechtel to \u201csafely and efficiently expedite the completion of the project\u2019s two remaining midscale trains later this year.\u201d<\/p>\n The new milestone followed the installation of \u201cfirst steel\u201d earlier last month at the CCL Midscale Trains 8 & 9 Project, a second expansion under construction at Corpus Christi.<\/p>\n The Midscale 8 & 9 Project and estimated debottlenecking opportunities stand to add another approximately 5 mtpa of capacity by late 2028.<\/p>\n That would put CCL at over 30 mtpa and Cheniere as a whole at over 60 mtpa.<\/p>\n In addition to these CCL expansions, Cheniere received\u00a0approval\u00a0<\/a>from FERC to initiate the environmental pre-filing review for its CCL Stage 4 project.<\/p>\n
