A driver was killed when his SUV was hit from behind by a car during a multi-vehicle accident in West El Paso, police said.<\/p>\n
More: El Paso fatal crash tracker 2026<\/a><\/p>\n The deadly crash occurred about 9:15 p.m. on Monday, April 6, in the 6300 block of North Desert Boulevard near Paseo Del Norte Boulevard and Artcraft Road, stated an El Paso Police Department news release by Detective Judy Oviedo.<\/p>\n Jaime Humberto Andrade, 56, of El Paso, died at a hospital after a rear-end crash that followed a separate collision involving four vehicles on North Desert, police said.<\/p>\n Andrade was driving a 2026 Subaru Outback when it was struck from behind at a high speed by a 2016 BMW 428i driven by Ambar Chavira, 19, of El Paso, police said.<\/p>\n More: El Paso woman dies in Downtown pedestrian crash<\/a><\/p>\n Alcohol is suspected of being a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Special Traffic Investigations Unit along with the DWI Task Force, police said.
